The former mainly completes the transfer of text and photo patterns, while the latter tends to conduct complete transfer on the entire surface of the product. Water transfer and coating printing technology uses a water-based film that is easily soluble in water to carry the graphics. Due to the excellent tension of the water-coated film, it can easily wrap around the product surface to form a graphic layer, and the product surface acquires a completely different appearance like spray painting. Water transfer technology is a kind of printing that uses water pressure to perform high-molecular hydrolysis on the transfer paper/plastic film with colored patterns.

As people's demands for product packaging and decoration have increased, the application of water transfer printing has become increasingly widespread. Its indirect printing principle and perfect printing effect have solved many problems in surface decoration of products. It is mainly used for transferring onto various ceramics, glass paper, etc. With a specially chemically treated film onto which the required colors and patterns are printed, it is then sent flat onto the surface of water. Utilizing the effect of water pressure, the color patterns are evenly transferred onto the product surface. Once the covering film is removed, it automatically dissolves in water. After cleaning and drying, a transparent protective coating is applied, at which point the product presents a completely different visual effect.
